Nick Chargin, Keyboards, Vocals
Nick has been playing music since the age of 5, starting out on piano and later picking up guitar in his teens. Moving from his hometown of Stockton,CA in 1984, he has spent the better part of his life writing, playing and recording original music with multiple San Jose bands including BlissNinnies, Elephino and Shady Groove as well as playing stints with musical legends Zigaboo Modaliste and Ike Willis. He is currently in the midst of writing a musical (about a guy who's head is shrinking.) His varied musical influences include everything from Stevie Wonder and P-Funk to Frank Zappa and Yes, from Miles Davis and John Coltrane to Little Feat and Phish, from NWA and Outkast to the Toy Dolls and the Dead Kennedys. Nick's dynamic stage presence is both fun and thoroughly entertaining. He has been known to pull up audience members to be directed along with the band on slide whistle and triangle, participate in on-stage vignettes, and to generally strive to expand the entertainment value of a show.
